General Practice Graduate Lawyer
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate lawyer to join our busy and growing general practice in Taupō in early 2024, or earlier if you have already done your professional studies.
Taupō has no traffic hassles, reasonably priced housing, plentiful quality work and plenty to do in your spare time.
You will be part of a friendly, hardworking and supportive team in modern open-plan offices looking out over the lake in central Taupō. We recently won the “Dream Team” award in the Taupō Stella Business Awards, due to our team environment and culture. You will have a direct working relationship with our directors.
We offer a monthly team-wide target and bonus and 5 weeks’ annual leave.
There is no expectation you will work later than 5pm, and you will have excellent support and mentoring.
We are looking for a graduate lawyer wanting to experience a range of areas in the law including family, property, wills, trusts and estates and then decide where to specialise from there.
You will:

We are also seeking a graduate to join our commercial/property team. The successful applicant will be working with trusts, relationship property, property transactions including subdivisions, and general company and commercial law. We have an established client base with varied and challenging work including subdivision projects and sale and purchase of businesses.
You will:
Have a "can do" positive attitude;
Be a quick learner;
Able to work comfortably under pressure and to meet deadlines;
For both roles you will be able to participate in other areas of interest available in the firm's general practice. There are good career prospects for the right applicants, and you will receive excellent exposure to general practice law in a fast-growing rural town.
