Tom graduated from Waikato University in 1998 and spent time travelling in USA, Canada and Mexico before returing to NZ to commence his legal career. He has worked for a number of legal firms, including the office of the Crown Solicitor in Rotorua. Tom has a broad legal background, with a current focus and significant experience on all things property, including business sales and acquisitions, subdivisions, trusts and estates.Posted: Wednesday 11 September 2019
Kate graduated in 1998 from Waikato University with Law and Science degrees. She then trained as a primary school teacher and taught full time for two years before leaving paid employment to be home with she and Tom's three children. In 2008, Kate completed her Professional Studies and was admitted to the bar.
Kate practices solely in Family Law, and in particular matters relating to children (eg care, custody, OT) and domestic violence. Kate is appointed to represent children as Lawyer for Child and is a trained mediator, available to undertake private mediations. Courtney graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2008 and was admitted to the bar in 2009.
Courtney is an experienced asset planning and relationship property lawyer and rejoined MMC Law in 2019. Courtney specialises in general asset planning matters (including wills and enduring powers of attorney), trusts, estates, relationship property and elder law. She enjoys building relationships with people and loves achieving good results for her clients in what are often difficult and emotional situations.Posted: Monday 9 September 2019
Mary graduated from Otago University in 2004 and was admitted in 2005. She began her career at another regional practice before relocating to London. After several years working inhouse in London and Auckland, Mary moved to Taupo with her family in 2016 and joined MMC Law in 2020.
Mary practices in the areas of conveyancing (commercial and residential), commercial transactions (including leasing and sale and purchase of businesses and shares) and asset planning and protection.Posted: Sunday 8 September 2019
Kristy has been with the firm since August 2015. She is originally from Hamilton where she worked in law firms and for the Ministry of Justice. Kristy is the Personal Assistant to the Family Lawyers and assists in other areas in the office.Posted: Friday 6 September 2019
Danielle is a Taupo local. She completed her Legal Executive Diploma by correspondence in 2017. She previously worked in another local firm before leaving to do an OE. Hayley studied her Legal Executive Diploma in 2014 and has worked as a Legal Executive in Auckland. Hayley and her partner returned to Taupo in April 2016 for a change of pace and to welcome their first child.
Hayley has been with MMC Law since January 2017, she took a break (maternity leave) to welcome her second child in August 2018. Since Hayleys return to the office she assists Courtney with mainly relationship property, asset planning, estate and conveyancing matters.Posted: Wednesday 4 September 2019
Leigh is originally from small town Waihi where she grew up on a dairy farm as the youngest of four children. After working in Waihi and Tauranga as a legal secretary and completing her legal executive diploma in 2010, Leigh and her now husband moved to Taupo in 2011. She worked for a local real estate firm for three years before joining a local law firm where she worked for six years in between having her daughter and her son.

After a long career in banking Lauri shifted to administration at a local Real Estate company prior to the move to MMC Law to become the Trust Administrator. Lauris previous careers stand her in good stead in her role and her local knowledge is helpful to all.

Brenda is originally from Auckland and moved to Taupo in 2011.
She completed her Legal Executive Diploma via correspondence in January 2020 and joined MMC Law in March 2020. This has been a career change for her, having spent a number of years working in the social services sector.

Morgan is currently on maternity leave.
Morgan grew up in Rotorua and Hawke's Bay, and she and her husband spent a short time in Pukekohe before moving to Taupo in 2016 to have their daughter.
